Xbox-Series-X

The Xbox Series X is now about a week and a half old and much like the PlayStation 5, it has experienced a few snags following the highly anticipated release.

Many of the issues plaguing the new console are fairly small, such as controllers not pairing, but some are much larger issues for Microsoft.

The company has been fairly quiet thus far, but it is likely they will address some of these problems soon.

There were rumors floating around that showed videos of the Xbox Series X smoking up, though those issues have since been proven false.

One actual problem with the new console is that it will randomly turn off in the middle of a game. It’s like the modern-day N64 game cartridges that would continuously crash until you blew the dust-out.

This issue has been reported by numerous gamers since the console’s launch, and it is affecting a number of games in the library.

This has generally occurred after a game is launched, though it has been seen to occur at any time really. The console simply turns off, and the reason for this has yet to be determined.

As of right now, there isn’t much gamers can do about this, though Microsoft will likely provide some sort of fix in the near future. Our advice: make sure to save where you are frequently.

Another issue in the early days of the new console has been that it has been making humming and clicking noises.

This problem has been pointed out by many gamers who wonder if the console has a disk drive that is somehow faulty.

There haven’t been any direct issues with performance because of this as of yet, but it could be a cause for concern down the line.

A third issue with the console is that there have been a few problems with the 4K Display.

A few gamers have gotten a “corrupted image” notification when using HDMI 2.1 to play a game.

Like the other issues, there isn’t a flawless fix for this, but restarting the Xbox is supposed to help and checking the TV for updates is another troubleshooting tactic.

Finally, the new Quick Resume feature for the console has not been working for all of the games that it should.

Microsoft is reportedly working on fixing this, so hopefully, this problem won’t be one for any lengthy period.

For gamers, these have mostly been annoying problems not permanent ones.

Like any console, there are inevitably a few glitches in the beginning.

Microsoft simply needs to release a patch or firmware update for these well-documented problems and thank its loyal userbase for pointing them out.

We’ll keep you posted on any updates as well as any further issues with the new consoles as they come.
