It won’t be long until Valorant hits mobile devices

Developer Riot recently announced that it will bring the popular Valorant game to mobile devices.

The shooting game does not yet have a set launch date or a lot of other details really, but the news is certainly exciting for many to hear.

There is no indication on exactly what hardware it will be available on and how it might be different from the version of the game currently popular. Riot has made it clear that this version will be focusing on mobile though and will be known as Valorant Mobile

Right now, there are as many as 14 million players of the game per month on the PC. This is according to claims made by Riot, while there is also some real momentum to a launch like this because the game is fresh off a huge tournament.

The company held a tournament held in Iceland that reached as many as 1 million viewers at the same time on May 31st.

This is somewhat similar to a decision already made for the game developer. Riot decided to launch a spin-off to the popular game League of Legends, called Wild Rift.

There is also a greater trend in gaming and especially shooting games to move to mobile devices. This includes both Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile and a version of Apex Legends for mobile devices soon to come too.

Riot may do other tings with Valorant besides simply bring it to mobile devices. The company said it was also “preparing to expand the franchise in order to bring Valorant to more players around the world.”

Much like what League of Legends has done, you might see Valorant soon in cards, comic books, and even a full-length type series on streaming services. This is likely just the beginning.
