Check out the best games for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X

There are two new consoles out and they both have a wide assortment of games to keep gamers glued to their controllers!

Here are our top picks for the best games on each of these next-gen gaming consoles.

PS5

3. Astro’s Playroom

The first game on this list is Astro’s Playroom because it makes use of some of the PS5’s defining features including the use of DualSense and adaptive triggers in this game with the console’s new controller.

The game is a sequel to Astro Bot Rescue Mission and comes pre-installed with the PS5, and for good reason.

Players will get addicted quickly to the platforming and puzzle kind of gameplay and are a solid way to kick off the experience on the new console.

2. Demon’s Souls

Demon’s Souls is another game launched with the console this November. It is a solid remake of the game that initially appears on the PS3, and it shows what the new console can do with older titles.

The graphics are beautiful and it does a great job of replicating the things that were popular in the previous release.

It also offers a full experience for the gamer that takes advantage of all of the new features of the console.

1. Spider-Man: Miles Morales

For those who enjoy Spider-Man in general, this is the perfect PS5 game to own right off the bat.

It is a standalone game featuring Miles Morales who is defending New York while Peter Parker is on a vacation. This makes for some cool graphics to showcase the Big Apple throughout the game.

Morales has many spider-powers in this game and they again make good usage of the DualSense controller.

It is definitely worth it to give Morales a shot at being Spider-Man in this game, and it also features some pretty cool villains, which we recently covered too.

Xbox Series X & S

3. Watch Dogs: Legion

Watch Dogs: Legion allows players to ‘Play As Anyone’ and offers a great level of variety and allows for a great deal of experimentation in the game.

In addition, it uses enthralling story arcs as well as providing a dystopian look at London throughout.

The game will soon get an open-world mode this December that will have more stories and things a player can do along with the ability to play with four players. It should help make a solid offering even better.

2. Gears 5

This Gears of War sequel is perhaps the best looking game on the Series X initially, and it has more new features to take advantage of the newest console.

The game has other features that are newer and better than previous versions, including the lighting and multiplayer gameplay, among other things.

There will also be new stories released periodically with the next one coming in December. It will be optimized for the new Xbox consoles too.

1. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also was released for the PS5 and it is an impressive open-world game that has a rich environment, excellent lighting, and can be played in 4K. The game’s quick load times and huge scope are also positives.

Ubisoft will be releasing two more expansions for the game in 2021, Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris.
