The evolution of cell phones has come to a point where the value of owning one is not simply based on the technology inside a device. Even though what’s inside almost always matters more, particular pioneers and designers in the cell-phone industry take their expertise to new heights by paying extraordinary attention to the outside.

In this new-wave movement, Realme and Naoto Fukasawa bring together ideas to create a product that has more than one intriguing attribute. It’s not just the look but the feel of recent Realme cell phone models that make the details of this commercial endeavor worth a closer look.

To put things in a nutshell, the design for the Realme X cell phone is inspired by two items that some people see in the kitchen fairly often if not every day.

Interestingly enough, the end result of this design collaboration mimics the look and feel of onions and garlic with a few aesthetic twists thrown in for the sake of style and function.

The end result is a phone that doesn’t have a too-slick feeling in the hand, which can result in a phone sliding from a user’s lighter grip. You know; like when your phone bonks you in the face because you turned into a zombie while binge-watching YouTube in bed for the third time this week.

Some of the more interesting details regarding this product include the number of gradient tests required to get feel just right. Together, Realme and Fukasawa have 72 of these tests on record for this recent model.

On top of the tests, the laboratory time to get things right for this device takes more than 300 adjustments before its unveiling to the public. Those who take an interest in the Realme X should know that the current changes in design only affect the color, material, and finish.

These adjustments can be described as something different from what the people at Realme normally make because these phones have a somewhat flashy look and feel to them. But, making the phones a better fit for use in the real whole by imitating reality is the purpose behind the changes made. For example, the white-colored phones catch light in a certain way that makes it stand out from different angles.

This is a good thing for finding your phone in a flash. Anyone who has ever had to get up and turn on an extra set of lights just to find a missing dark-colored phone might appreciate this design feature.

As smart cell phones go, the Realme X stands up to the competition with competence.

In comparison to other phones that come from the manufacturer, the functions are similar if not superior to models like the F11 Pro. It has goodies like Snapdragon 710 processing capabilities, which make doing things like getting work done from a cell phone really easy. Other features of note include its 6.53 screen (which happens to be notch less), 8GB of memory space, and ColorOS 6 software.
