Peloton partners with Beyonce to create themed classes with the artist’s music

Peloton has partnered with the one and only Beyonce to add a new collection of classes to its library.

The company and singer have agreed to a multi-year contract that will see her curate classes for the trendy fitness company.

The beginning of the partnership will include a series of Homecoming type classes to honor Black colleges.

Peloton is happy with its partnership when it considers Beyonce one of the artists that receive the most requests for its playlists.

These Beyonce classes have already started and they include meditations, bike rides, outdoor runs with more classes set to occur soon.

For those who are already a Peloton subscriber through the $12.99 / month app or use the Bike, Bike+, Tread, and Tread+ devices that run $39/month, there should be no problem joining these sessions.

For those who have yet to try out Peloton, they do offer a free 30-day trial to sample out the Beyonce classes and others as well.

One thing to note is that the deal made between Peloton and Beyonce was a direct one and did not go through a publisher.

Peloton had already faced lawsuits from the National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) back in March 2019 for using many songs that they did not have the rights to during their various video fitness classes.

Eventually, Peloton settled these lawsuits this February and removed some songs from their playlists.

This should be an interesting experiment for the company and will inevitably draw in a few new subscribers for them.

If it works out, look for the fitness subscription company to bring in more familiar celebrities.
