Kanye West has made headlines for various controversial statements and behaviors during the course of his career.

Kanye has always been outspoken about his opinions, which is why some people have always liked him. Still, this recent behavior is indicative that he may be on another level mentally.

Ye’s iconic interruption of Taylor Swift’s award speech at the MTV VMAs prompted her to respond on her Instagram. Many people have said that if Kanye had apologized, he would have avoided his fate.

Below is a list of Kanye’s controversial statements and behaviors. Many people have said it, indicating that he has officially canceled.

Kanye West is an American music artist and businessman who rose to fame with the release of his debut album, “The College Dropout,” in 2004. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 8, 1977.

Today, Kanye is known for his Twitter rants in which he shares his opinions about his mental health, political beliefs, and even some of his music, a sign that Kanye has completely lost touch with reality.

Although Kanye is currently under fire, it’s important to note that he has always been a controversial figure. Since he began his career as a producer in the early 2000s, he has been controversial.

In 2003, when Outkast won “Album Of The Year” at the Grammy Awards, Kanye threatened not to attend other ceremonies unless they changed the rules. He said this was because Outkast deserved the award instead of Beyonce, who also won that night.

In 2008, Kanye was involved in a legal dispute with his former girlfriend, Amber Rose. Rose claimed to have spent $25,000 of her own money to purchase tickets to an Adam Levine concert so that she and Kanye could have a “private” show. Kanye was upset because he felt he should have gotten the tickets instead.

In 2009, Kanye sued Rose for $10 million, which was later settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.

Another instance of Kanye being controversial was when he interrupted Taylor Swift at the MTV VMAs in 2009. it caused a considerable backlash, and Taylor was so upset that she wrote the song “Innocent” directly about Kanye.

In 2010, Kim Kardashian was dating Reggie Bush. However, that year she began dating Kanye. After they were caught together, Reggie Bush claimed that he had no idea Kim was seeing someone else and that it was rude for her to do this behind his back. The two eventually broke off their relationship, and Kim and Kanye were married in 2014.

After the two were married, Kanye became even more controversial. Kanye revealed his desire to become a fashion designer at the 2012 Met Gala, which received negative feedback from the fashion industry.

In 2013, Kanye was hospitalized for a mental breakdown after he canceled his tour. However, he released his album “Yeezus” later that year, and it received positive reviews from critics.

In May 2018, Kanye released the song “Lift Yourself” from his album “Ye.” He later posted a tweet claiming that he was $53 million in debt to credit card companies. Kanye later stated that he exaggerated this amount, but he did admit that he owed somewhere close to $20 million.

Although this may have been true, he also told people to stop focusing on what he said and to focus on his music instead. On his Twitter, he wrote, “I don’t take kindly to it … It comes with the territory.”

One of the final straws that broke the camel’s back was when Kanye tweeted his support for Donald Trump.

He posted several tweets promoting Trump and even said he loved him. Given how controversial Kanye has always been, it may seem normal for someone to support Donald Trump, but many people were disappointed in Kanye because of this.

This tweet upset many people, and people began to question whether or not he was canceled as an artist.

Kanye has always been outspoken about his political beliefs, and he has said before that he would run for president in the future.

Kanye continued to thrive in the spotlight, and many people began to wonder whether or not he will ever be canceled.

This brings us to the present day with Kanye now losing billions based on terminated deals and partnerships. His latest round of backlash against West began when he posted an image wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt at a Paris fashion show earlier this month. Amidst the outrage, he doubled down on his views with an antisemitic tirade that culminated in white supremacists hailing him as a hero.

Footage released by Motherboard this month from his interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson showed Ye using antisemitic language — suggesting his children should learn about Hanukkah and not Kwanzaa because “at least it would come with some financial engineering.”

West’s actions have been abhorred in the aftermath, and several companies, agencies, and people have severed ties with the disgraced artist.

Adidas on Tuesday ended its partnership with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, after the musician made a series of offensive and antisemitic comments.

Hours later, Gap and then Foot Locker said they would immediately remove Yeezy products from their stores.

“Foot Locker, Inc. does not tolerate any form of antisemitism or hateful and discriminatory behavior. While we remain a partner with Adidas and carry a wide assortment of their collections – we will not be supporting any future Yeezy product drops,” a Foot Locker spokesperson said.

Gap also shut down YeezyGap.com, which now redirects to the Gap website.

“Antisemitism, racism and hate in any form are inexcusable and not tolerated in accordance with our values,” said Gap, which announced in September that it would end its partnership with Ye. The clothing retailer said at the time it would sell through its remaining Yeezy inventory.

Gap and Foot Locker’s statements echoed what Adidas said earlier. “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” the company said.

“After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.”

Adidas’ decision also cost Ye his billionaire status. Forbes estimates that without the Adidas deal, his net worth has dropped to $400 million, which comes from his music catalog, real estate and his 5% stake in ex-Kim Kardashian’s shapewear company, Skims. Forbes valued his Adidas deal as adding $1.5 billion to his net worth.

Two high-profile athletes are leaving Kanye West’s sports agency, Donda Sports, in the wake of the artist and businessman’s repeated antisemitic statements.

Aaron Donald, a star football player on the Los Angeles Rams, announced Tuesday that he is leaving the agency.

In a statement shared on Twitter, Donald and his wife Erica said their family decided to leave the company due to “recent comments and displays of hate and antisemitism,” which they characterized as “the exact opposite of how we choose to live our lives and raise our children.”

Also on Tuesday, Celtics star basketball player Jaylen Brown tweeted that he was “terminating my association with Donda Sports.”

He also did not refer to West in the announcement.

On Monday, Brown told the Boston Globe that he planned to stick with the agency.

“The reason why I signed with Donda Sports, it represented education, it represented activism, disruption, it represented single-parent households, and a lot more people are involved in something like that,” Brown said at the time. “A lot of people that I work with, work with their families, build love and respect for, spending time in the summer. A lot of people involved. That’s what the organization from my vantage point from Donda Sports represented.”

In his Tuesday statement, Brown said he was “able to reflect and better understand how my previous statements lack clarity in expressing my stance against recent insensitive public remarks and actions.”

“I have always, and will always, continue to stand strongly against any antisemitism, hate speech, misrepresentation, and oppressive rhetoric of any kind,” he said.

The departures come the same day that Adidas ended its partnership with West with “immediate effect.”

It looks like our culture has reached its breaking point with a once universally beloved artist known as Ye.
