Free-To-Play Battle Royale Game Hits 25 Million Registered Players In A Week

Apex Legends by Respawn is the latest battle royale crave to hit gaming systems. From the creators of the Best Selling Game Titan Fall, Apex Legends has surpassed 25 million registered players. The game recorded over 2 million concurrent players this past weekend stated Respawn, CEO Vince Zampella.

The Apex Hype

Just like Fortnite, Apex Legends is free and available on console and PC. Apex has grown much faster than Fortnite in the early goings, but that is partly due to Fortnite and PUBG laying the battle royale foundation. Fortnite exploded in size, counting more than 200 million players as of November 2018 due to iOS and Android integration.

Respawn is full steams ahead, there is a lot coming up for Apex Legends. Including its first-ever E-Sports Tournament kick-off, Valentine’s Day-themed loot drop later this week, and the start of its first season and launch of its March battle pass subscription.

Zampella wrote in a blog post announcing the milestone, “Our goal is to build this game with you, our community, so keep giving us your feedback because we really are listening.”

What do you think of Apex Legends? Can EA and Respawn continue the Apex momentum or will King Fortnite continue its reign!
