HBO Max will stream friends and more

It an end of an era for the world streaming. We are entering a very divided and expensive realm of entertainment where our favorite movies and show being hosted on different platforms.

WarnerMedia is the latest company to enter the streaming wars. The parent company of AT&T will build on the success of HBO Go and HBO Now by bringing a new subscription video service to take on Netflix, Hulu, the upcoming Disney+, Apple TV and other content streaming platforms.

The new service HBO Max will be MAXimized with original programs, access to WarnerMedia’s massive catalog and all HBO has to offer – TV series, on-demand movies, live primetime shows and more!

Friends will stream exclusively on HBO Max

Everyone favorite 90’s sitcom Friends has been streaming on Netflix for a while now. Well, that ends some time in 2019 and HBO Max will have exclusive streaming rights to Friends when it launches in spring 2020.

The same exclusive streaming deal will go for the following shows, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Pretty Little Liars, Batwoman, and Katy Keene.

This shouldn’t be too surprising, NBC recently announced that The Office will be pulled from Netflix and exclusively streamed on NBCUniversal’s content platform.

HBO Max will continue to follow suit of content owners yanking away shows and movies from third-party streaming platforms. The new service will feature content from “Warner Bros., New Line, DC Entertainment, CNN, TNT, TBS, truTV, The CW, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, Looney Tunes, and more.”
