tom brady super bowl 53

Super Bowl 53 ended with Tom Brady solidifying himself as the GOAT by being the first player in NFL history to win 6 Super Bowls.

Brady made it clear that this time around it wasn’t about him, by serenading kicker Stephen Gostkowski with “Game Winna, Game Winna” chants. He then proceeds to hunt down Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman to yell “MVP!”, the four-time award winner threw 10 passed to Edelman for 141 yards.

This is no surprise, over the year the GOAT has always passed around the praise and has taken all the blame when he had. That is what great leaders do! The only difference is that Tom didn’t necessarily play great in this Super Bowl, so passing the compliments around took on a much higher meaning.

Statically Tom Brady had a lackluster performance, mainly do a very aggressive Los Angles Rams defense. Either way, 262 yards, and 0 touchdowns aren’t exactly Brady like. His offense didn’t score a touchdown until seven minutes left in the game; The Patriots’ 13 points were fewer than any of the previous 52 Super Bowl winners.

The week following up to the Super Bowl Brady was thirsty for number 6! One more Super Bowl would break his tie with Charles Haley. It would bring him of the level of the great Michael Jordan, who won six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls in the ’90s. As far as quarterbacks, there is no relative comparison; not Peyton Manning, not Joe Montana, not Steve Young, nobody has the stats and rings that Tom Brady has.

It’s clearer than ever Brady will be back next year. He and the Patriots spent the better part of the past month being fueled by the doubters, haters, and skeptics. Pats Nation still has more fuel in the tank and they are ready to burn it during the 2019 NFL season!
