spider-man no way home

The MCU has actually had a fairly busy 2021 year for the popular comic book universe believe it or not. The year is likely going to be capped off with the release of the newest Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film is set for a release close to Christmas on December 17th.

There has already been a decent amount of speculation about this new installment in the popular franchise.

For those who may recall, the new film was set up in a post-credits sequence that had the true identity of Spider-Man as Peter Parker (Tom Holland) showcased to the entire world. This was done with a broadcast showing Parker’s persona and also the subsequent accusation that he is indeed a criminal.

**Spoilers warning**

If you’re one of those people not looking to hear about a potential spoiler, stop reading here and simply get excited for another new Spider-Man film in late 2021. With that said, there was a huge plot leak that came from a supposedly trusted source for Spider-Man No Way Home.

One thing must be certain, this supposed plot leak is based on rumors. There’s always a possibility the leak is false or based on a simple (or fairly specific for that matter) fan theory. But as far as things have been reported, the leak does have some fairly significant traction.

One reason this leak is being taken more seriously is that it came from a Redditor who made a fairly accurate prediction recently in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series.

**Serious leak warning**

So finally to the actual leak: in the theoretical leak, Parker has to go on the run because of exactly what occurs from the last events in Spider-Man: Far From Home. This supposedly leads him to another figure in the MCU, Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, who lets Parker stay with him and his closest allies in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

Doctor Strange has thus put a number of villains in the MCU / Spider-Man Universe in one place and they inadvertently are now right in front of Spider-Man. This shelter occurs at the aforementioned Sanctum Sanctorum, where Parker is a first-hand witness to the villains of past and future installments, including the Green Goblin, among others.

Oscorps in this series of films will certainly have a key role. The leak is more focused on Parker needing to endure inter-dimensional travel to save the universe after an accidental mistake to free the villains.

Ultimately, the leak says that Parker is at wits with the Green Goblin over what is good and bad much like what occurred in the previous installment of the series. It certainly shows a repeat flaw in Parker, but that might be exactly what the series is looking for overall.

From there, the leak says that the Green Goblin, Parker, and Doctor Strange will all play a huge role in a fight between a number of dimensions. At some point, Strange will tell Parker to look for help and get other potential Spider-Men involved. Parker is not the only Spider-Man in this universe, he is one of many.

Among other thoughts in the supposed leak, the final fight will supposedly take place at the Statue of Liberty. Keep an eye out for this in December. Yell about it in theaters. Other things to point out in the theory is that Osborn will survive to see another day and use the Tony Stark model as inspiration.

What happens to Ned and MJ is another question for this next film in the new franchise. The theory says that the film ends with yet another death seen and Parker dealing with it.

With all of this said, the leak certainly leans towards a few different directions and is much like a film theory. A few of these aspects are unlikely to come true, but there may be a few “Hey, that’s what they guessed” moments are very likely to occur. Either way, the December release should be a fun one overall.
