SNA Displays create vivid and dynamic images through high-end digital displays. This digital signage company is known for working with prominent companies such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise in creating spectacular indoor and outdoor LED signage.

Most recently, the university was chosen to upgrade a video scoreboard and put up two LED ribbons at the Chad Richison Stadium on the University of Central Oklahoma campus. The iconic stadium is home to top sports figures, including Chad Richison, whom it’s named after. It’s also home to the Bronchos NCAA Division II football team.

Chad Richison Stadium’s History of Renovations

The UCO’s on-campus stadium has undergone several renovations since its inception. Significant changes began in 2003 when artificial turf, a state-of-the-art scoreboard, and new lighting were installed.

Later, in 2005, the stadium underwent further renovations, featuring significant additions such as new stands on both sides of the field, ample club seating, and a three-level press box.

Most recently, the stadium received a generous donation of $10 million from Chad Richison— former Broncho wrestler and Paycom CEO. This latest gift brings the former UCO graduate’s total contributions to $25 million, putting the philanthropist in UCO’s history book as its largest donor.

The plan is to add 1,900 extra seats, increasing the stadium’s capacity to 12,000. The facility will also get additional restrooms, a waterfall feature and a new video board—the icing on the cake. Chad Richison Stadium will also acquire a new name: graduating to Chad Richison Sports Complex.

Significance of SNA Displays to the Chad Richison Stadium Project

Aside from being a big name in the signage industry, SNA Displays will solidify its presence in Oklahoma with this project, as the signage marks the final stage of $10 million in improvements. SNA was selected to manufacture the new video boards through the support of Anthony James Partners (AJP), representatives in the design and procurement processes.

The new screen will have unique features such as a 1.3 million pixel LED, sized 35×42 inches, offering up to 300% resolution and a well-illuminated UCO logo. The display’s rear includes a sponsor tension graphic and an impressive rocky waterfall appearing to flow from the stadium. It also houses a high-tech sound system featuring fantastic Danley Sound Labs equipment to give fans an immersive experience.

SNA Displays will also provide an incredible end zone, installing two 90-foot-long LED ribbons from the entryway of the Sports Performance Center to the northern side of the field.

The incorporation of SNA into the project cements the stadium’s upgrade while enhancing its reputation, attracting the masses to Bronchos football games. This massive construction project will surely rank the stadium as one of the finest in NCAA Division II and beyond.

Hopefully, these changes will motivate more support for football as a game, not only at the tertiary level but also at the junior level.

Aside from enhancing game-day experiences, impactful collaborations like the one between Anthony James Partners and SNA Displays create exciting opportunities for various parties to engage students, fans and players, thus nurturing talent.

The driving force behind this momentous upgrade is Chad Richison’s confidence in the institution and his great pride as an alumnus. The institution appreciates his efforts and plans to recognize him at the Bronchos homecoming football game, which is happening on the weekend.
