In Pokémon Red and Green, players can choose between two different versions of the game at the start: Pokémon Yellow. In Yellow, you play as a Pikachu who can talk, and other Pokémon have smaller roles as sidekicks. This is because yellow is a primary, secondary color formed when mixing red and green.

Likewise, in Pokémon Purple, Blue, and Green versions of the game, each focus on a different one of the three primary colors. However, from these games, players can learn which types of Pokémon are found in which version.

Pokémon Red and Green.

Red is the color of passion, energy, and power. Therefore, the Pokémon that are found in this version are those that are powerful. In Pokémon Red, the common Pokémon you will find are Pidgey, Rattata, Ekans, and Sandshrew. Many of these are not very powerful in the Pokémon universe; however, they are easy to catch.

Some of the Pokémon found in this version but not listed above include Arbok, Pikachu, Meowth, and Paras.

In Pokémon Green, the common Pokémon you will find are Spearow, Weedle, and Zubat. The Pokémon found in this version that is not listed above include Caterpie, Pikachu, Oddish, and Paras. Pokémon Green is a more mellow version of the game, so the Pokémon are not as powerful as those in Pokémon Red.

Pokémon Yellow (Special Edition).

Yellow is a mixture of red and yellow, the color of joy and happiness. This version features Pikachu and is more upbeat than the others. The Pokémon found in this version are Pikachu, Pidgey, Rattata, Pikachu, and Spearow.

Some of the Pokémon found in this version but not listed above include Meowth, Oddish, and Psyduck. The Pokémon found in the Yellow Version is easier to catch than the Pokémon found in the Red and Green versions. Also, Pikachu is in this version and can be used in battle.

Pokémon Blue Version.

Blue is the color of trust and loyalty, and these are the themes of Pokémon Blue. In this version, the common Pokémon are Charmander, Squirtle, Rattata, and Pikachu. Some of the rare Pokémon that you will find in this version include Ekans, Sandshrew, and Cubone. No Pokémon are exclusive to Pokémon Blue.

Blue is not as common as Red or Green, but Blue is the rarest version of these games. Blue was only distributed in Japan and is very difficult to come by, so expect these games to cost a lot of money.

Pokémon Violet Version.

Violet is the color of creativity and imagination, so Pokémon Violet focuses on the more creative aspects of the game. The Pokémon in this version are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu. Pokémon you will find in this version but are not listed above include Pidgey, Oddish, and Bellsprout. You can find many Pokémon in Pokémon Violet but not in the other versions of the game, making it a worthwhile purchase.

Conclusion.

There are many hidden meanings behind the Pokémon Red and Green, Yellow, Blue, and Violet. Each color represents a different emotion, power, and positive quality.
