Kendal and Kylie Jenner got their panties in a bunch, and it’s all over some lace. The mogul sisters went into the underwear business together, but a lace company isn’t having it.

Klauber Bros. is a lace company that has been in business since 1859. They copyright most of their unique lace designs to keep them exclusive to their brand.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, also names Nordstrom Inc. and Jet.com for selling the products, and reserves the right to include other manufacturers and vendors discovered in litigation.

Klauber Brothers said it would decide later whether to pursue statutory damages of $150,000 per infringed work or actual damages, according to the complaint.

They’ve been doing this for awhile, and their ownership over their lace patterns is pretty air tight. Unfortunately, it looks like Kendal and Kylie’s design team wasn’t aware of this. Two of the lace designs owned by Klauber Bros. ended up in their products, and Klauber took legal action.

The items with the duplicate lace designs include a pair of thong panties and a sexy negligee. They look like good products, and other people seemed to agree.

The lace company is demanding that the stolen designs stop selling immediately. They also want all profits from the items already sold. Considering what a juggernaut the Jenner brand currently is, they are looking at a hefty sum of money. The items in question were sold in Nordstrom stores and online.

To Klauber’s point, the designs do look extremely similar. That being said, it was probably a harmless mistake. Nonetheless, Klauber wants to get paid.

This isn’t the first time the Jenner sisters have run into legal troubles in regards to fashion designs.

In 2017, photographer Michael Miller filed lawsuit against the sisters, claiming they illegally used his 2Pac photographs on their graphic tees.

Two years prior to that, retailer Island Company sued the Jenners for allegedly ripping off their trademarked logo, which features the phrase: “Quit your job. Buy a ticket. Get a tan. Fall in love. Never return.”

A T-shirt design the Jenners were hawking at PacSun; the piece in question was emblazoned with the slogan, “Run away. Fall in love. Never return.”

This is turning into more than a habit at this point, we have to imagine someone is in some pretty big trouble for the fraudulent mistake.

The Jenner sisters have a massive brand behind them and we are sure they will be fine after these legal issue clears up.
