Instagram currently investigating an issue that’s causing some accounts to appear to lose millions of followers
Last night content creators James Charles and Zach Clayton, began tweeting about the issue last night. Both YouTubers have millions of followers.
A number of celebrities like Ariane Grande and Selena Gomes have taken massive follower hits!
Instagram said they would take actions to remove millions of accounts the company believed to be inauthentic, but it’s unclear if that’s the issue at hand following Instagram’s tweet about the issue. Many companies, including Instagram, do periodic sweeps to remove spam or inactive accounts.
