new beyond burgers

One of the leaders in plant-based food, Beyond Meat, is continuing its development of new products to give those interested more variety.

The company has released two more versions of its growing Beyond Burger.

One of these offerings is supposedly juicier while the other has less saturated fats.

This is something in which grocery stores have been doing for ages with regular kinds of meats.

Generally, they have different kinds of lean meat and fat with various beef products.

This is Beyond Meat’s foray into offering something similar for those who want something that tastes like beef but is plant-based.

There is no word yet on how much these new versions will cost, but the basic Beyond Burger costs about $6.40 per pound with a ten pack of the burgers coming in at approximately $16.

The company explains that the new juicier patty will have approximately 35 percent less saturated fat than the typical 80 percent lean to 20 percent flat burger of the beef variety.

The second new burger will have as much as 55 percent less saturate fat, though it won’t be quite as juicy. The company also maintains these differences will not impact the flavor and low calorie foundation of the other burgers.

Another thing to note is that the company has not added or gotten rid of any ingredients to make these new offerings.

Rather, Beyond Meat has changed the way it processes peas, oils, beans, and grains and how they are put into the final product.

This is part of the belief that these new patties bring a wider range to those interested in their product and will fit more people’s dieting plans.

This has been a pretty active year for Beyond Meat and its plant-based meats have seen an uptick in sales by 264 percent.

Just recently, the company announced a partnership with McDonald’s, which will offer the “McPlant” burger and a few other items on its menus early next year.

The company has also partnered with other big chains like Pizza Hut, KFC, Walmart, and others.

Throughout all of these partnerships, Beyond Meat’s stock price has nearly doubled.

It also doesn’t hurt that those who are more health-conscious are staying in and cooking for themselves during the coronavirus pandemic.

Beyond Meat is now previewing these new burgers today through November 20th in Los Angeles, and it hopes to have the burgers out nationwide in early 2021.

This is probably just the beginning of the company’s offering slight varieties on existing products and it is certainly a good thing for those who already enjoy the Beyond Meat brand.

Whether or not other competitors like Impossible Foods and entrants into the plant-based food sector decide to follow suit is not known now, but it is very likely we’ll see news from them soon too.

It might really come down to a simple “wait and see” as far as how customers respond to the new offerings.
