Discussions Between the Avengers and the Kang Dynasty’s Star and Director Have Been Underway for Some Time
The next Avengers feature, The Kang Dynasty, won’t come out for another year, so there isn’t much time for criticism. We know that Jonathan Majors (as Kang) will be in it and that Shang-Destin Chi’s Daniel Cretton (the director) will be behind the camera. We now know that talks for the film’s production have commenced between the two.
To put it simply, we had a few conversations. We had a long conversation,” Majors stated in an interview with Variety published over the weekend. He has a wide perspective. He has a genuine personality and a solid foundation. The most crucial aspect of his work is that he and it are firmly rooted in reality.
Loki creator Paul Rudd Majors will reprise his role in the upcoming film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania.
It stands to reason that the events of that film, along with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels, Captain America: New World Order, Thunderbolts, Blade, Deadpool 3, and even Fantastic Four, all of which are scheduled for release before The Kang Dynasty, will have some bearing on the plot of that Netflix series.
Jeff Loveness, the man behind the novel Quantumania, is now working out the details. To repeat, Major is limited in what he can say in open settings. However, he did engage in some gratuitous musing on his and Cretton’s shared vision for the film.
He elaborated, saying, “We’re dealing with myths.” To which he said, “You know, what is a Kang? Is it a movie .what? A movie from the MCU is… Just what does that signify? So, how does that manifest itself?
Those are the sorts of things we want to be answered. But that’s only effective when it’s rooted in the specifics of what’s happening between these people and what we can shed light on for ourselves as a species.
