“Egg Boy” Targets Fraser Anning Over Christchurch Comments
Sen. Fraser Anning, who has a history of making controversial and offensive comments has been hit in the head with an egg by a teen.
Anning is a far-right Australian senator who was internationally criticized after he blamed Muslims for the Christchurch mosque shooting attacks. He was then smacked across the back of his head with an egg on Saturday by a teen.
A stunned Sen. Fraser Anning then smacked the teen in his face and apparently went into attack mode. The teen was then beaten and apprehended by Anning’s supporters who held him in a choke hold until the authorities arrived.
Authorities said they would not only be looking into the teen’s actions, but Anning’s as well.
Video footage of the egg incident quickly went viral and the 17-year-old, whose name seems to be Will Connolly, according to an Instagram account that appeared to belong to him, was named #EggBoy on social media
As a way of showing solidarity with the teen, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help him pay for legal fees and to buy “more eggs.” Watch out politicians EggBoy will be out soon!
