Thorne Not Exactly Welcome by Entertainers at OnlyFans

OnlyFans has become the go-to online platform for many sex workers whose livelihoods have been greatly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic of 2020.

Now that Hollywood actress and former Disney child star Bella Thorne has grown up into an alluring woman, she somehow thought it would be a good idea to open an OnlyFans profile for the benefits of her fans, but this has ruffled some feathers among many professionals in the field of adult entertainment.

For those who may not be familiar with OnlyFans, it is a website that essentially serves as a digital content platform you can subscribe to. You do not have to be a fan of a content creator in order to subscribe, but it certainly helps if you are.

As can be expected most of the content served by OnlyFans is of the sexual type; one very popular feature is the ability to hold video chats with the content purveyors, who mostly happen to be alluring young women, and send them tips for actions that fans ask them to do in front of digital cameras.

A Thorn on Sex Worker’s Sides

The 22-year-old Thorne is not a sex worker; she is an established celebrity with a sizable filmography to her credit, but she also has a dalliance with the pornographic world.

Last year, Thorne directed “Her & Him,” an erotic short film that was released on the PornHub network, which is arguable the most popular adult video streaming website in the world.

It should be noted that “Her & Him” won multiple awards and has received positive reviews from many critics.

The pornographic actress whom Thorne cast for her directorial debut happens to share similar physical features, and this made the minds of the former Disney actress run wild.

To say that there was a commotion among Thorne’s fans when she joined OnlyFans would be an understatement.

This young starlet has yet to disrobe for the camera; she has mostly posted images from a lingerie photo session, but this has already earned her about $2 million in revenue.

Thorne has vaguely explained that her presence on OnlyFans is for research purposes.

Not scientific research mind you; it is for a cinematic project more than likely centered on the world of internet cam girls and the prodigious amount of digital porn videos being produced on a daily basis.

COVID-19 has not stopped adult entertainment; it has only pushed it towards OnlyFans, which is where many strippers, escorts, and adult film actresses have migrated to in order to make a living without having risky intimate contact.

The problem with Thorne’s lucrative experiment on OnlyFans is those real sex workers, the ones who really have to hustle to get $5 monthly subscriptions from online fans, feel that the Disney actress is raking it in for what can be described as “cosplaying as a cam girl.”

Even more egregious is the fact that Thorne has yet to come forward with a statement of support towards decriminalizing sex work in the United States.

Something else that rubs sex workers the wrong way about Thorne and her OnlyFans roleplaying is that she has mostly received praise for it.

On the other side of the spectrum, you have rappers such as Rubi Rose, a very attractive African-American woman, being lambasted for being active on OnlyFans.

Talk about a double standard; Rose already has a busy Instagram account where she posts very sexy photographs because she is a woman who celebrates her own sex appeal.

If Rose wants to show more skin in exchange for subscriptions and monetary tips, what gives others the right to pass judgment on such decisions when you have a situation such as Thorne’s?
