best courtroom shows

If you’re an attorney or simply enjoy some of the drama that can unfold in the courtroom, there are a few television shows that you can binge-watch when you have some spare time!

All you have to do is find a snack you like and get comfortable on the couch while viewing the actors who bring these legal dramas to life.

Law & Order

Instead of watching the spin-offs of this popular television show, start binging by watching the original “Law & Order.”

The theme song is likely one that you can hear in your head before the show even begins.

If you plan to watch the entire series, then you might need to set aside a few months as there are quite a few seasons to get through.

Suits

This is a classy show that has a bit more personal drama than what typically takes place inside the courtroom.

The main character of the show dropped out of law school, but that didn’t stop the character from getting a job with one of the best attorneys and making a name for himself in front of various judges and other attorneys.

Daredevil

Combine the life of a Marvel superhero and an attorney to get a character by the name of Daredevil.

The character is blind, but he uses his other senses to help others whether it’s on the streets or in the courtroom.

Many of the stories in the show are carefully thought out so that viewers can relate to the actions that take place.

Making a Murderer

This isn’t your typical courtroom show. You’ll learn about some of the issues in the justice system while watching the documentary with some details quite surprising to many viewers.

You’ll listen to attorneys talk about some of the cases they remember best and some of the judges who have had to make difficult decisions.

The Good Wife

This is a show that earned numerous awards during its short time on television. An attorney tries to establish a quality career even as her husband faces a scandal that rocks the political world.

The characters grow and change throughout the course of the show, and the storyline tends to leave you guessing as to what’s going to happen next.

Perry Mason

Another older series, “Perry Mason” sets the stage for other legal dramas that are seen on television.

You get to see many young stars when they first appear in the courtroom and how the legal process truly works instead of a lot of the personal drama that you often see in modern shows.

For Life

If you’re looking for a new courtroom show to watch, then this is one to add to your list.

This show takes a different approach to legal issues as it focuses on a man who gets his law degree in order to help people who have been convicted of crimes they didn’t commit, which is what he had to endure before going to law school.

Executive Produced by 50 Cent, For Life is based on a real-life story and already has season 2 in progress.

Better Call Saul

This is a prequel to the critically acclaimed show Breaking Bad with Jimmy McGill as a no-nonsense attorney who also showcases a bit of comedy in the show.

Even though the show doesn’t rely on its sequel for you to enjoy the development of the characters, it does make it a bit easier to understand where they are headed in their lives.

Rumpole of the Bailey

Viewers in the U.K. have been watching this series for some time. Horace Rumpole is a British attorney who uses his wit in the courtroom.

This is a show that can make you smile about legal proceedings and the help that attorneys want to offer their clients.
