odell beckham trade

It was clear the New York Giants were in a rebuilding phase and that didn’t mean wide reciever Odell Beckham Jr. was not on the chopping block.

The Browns have agreed to trade for the Giants wideout, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported. New York will acquire a first-round and third-round pick and safety Jabril Peppers.

Beckham totaled 77 receptions for 1,052 yards with six touchdowns last season after a broken leg cut short his 2017 season short.

OBJ will be reunited with his former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry in Cleveland.

For the Giants, this signals a move towards making Saquon Barkley the face of the franchise and moving on from the best player on the roster.
