Kansas City Chiefs Star Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a Generational Talent Destined to Shatter NFL Records

With a breakout 2018 season under his belt, Pat Mahomes is picking up right where he left off in 2019.

Troy Aikman is a three-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Famer who had a great career, but his stats are not anything monumental compared to that of Patrick Mahomes.

The Athletic Kansas City put Mahomes on a pedestal by taking a cheap shot at the Dallas Cowboys great.

The hosts of the “Time’s Ours” podcast reveled in the fact that Mahomes has thrown 60 touchdowns over 20 NFL starts, comparing it to the career total of 165 touchdowns that Aikman tallied over the course of 165 start’s. That’s an average of one touchdown per game for Aikman, a rate that Mahomes is well above.

3 Rings and a golden Hall of Fame jacket isn’t enough for Troy Aikman hush up

Yep! Aikman played the everlasting rings card, a go-to for those who have gotten themselves in a sports debate involving Eli Manning, Tom Brady, LeBron James or Michael Jordan.

Troy Aikman was not throwing any shade at Mahomes, his issue was with the writer of the tweet. The comparison is uncalled for, The Athletic Kansas City preyed on Aikman ‘eh’ stats and decided to pit it against Mahomes. Aikman threw for 165 touchdowns and 141 interceptions while averaging 199.6 yards per game during his 12-year career. He eclipsed the 20-touchdown threshold just once in his career.

Aikman was never known for these statistics but he is known for getting the job done and bringing the city of Dallas 3 Superbowl titles, in return punching his ticket to the Hall of Fame.

How any of this related to Pat Mahomes is a mystery….. let’s stop the meaningless “whose better” debates!
