Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus dropped a remix of the viral hit “Old Town Road” on Spotify Friday and everyone is going into the weekend on a country vibe!
The original version which was released in December was a huge hit! The song featured banjo plucks with lyrics about cowboy hats, horse tack, and Wrangler jeans, along with a sample from Nine Inch Nails’ “34 Ghosts IV”
The song that sparked controversy after Billboard kicked it off of its Hot Country chart in March because the song did not adequately satisfy genre requirements “in its current version.”
Lil Nas X took to Twitter Friday saying his collaboration with Cyrus had been inspiring.
